Before the holiday break, Dorothy Gunnison, a young schoolteacher, invites famed genius Nikola Telsa to speak to her class. But while demonstrating one of his inventions (the N.T.M.), Telsa accidentally sends Dorothy through a time twister to the LAND OF OZ. There, with the assistance of a certain scarecrow, tin man, and lion, she must find a way to return to Cripple Creek before Christmas is cancelled. Followed by TATC’s famous Christmas Olio |

Take a drive through the remnants of the booming gold rush, and experience one of the larges working gold mines in the world. Now is the best time to come because it’s holiday season and many of the standing mining headframes are decorated with giant lighted decorations. Remain cozy and warm in your vehicle as you tour the lights. The displays are lit weekend evenings November 26th-January 14th, and nightly Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day, weather allowing. |

2023 Ice Festival – TentativeFebruary 18, 2023 - February 26, 2023he organizers of the Cripple Creek Ice Festival are excited to announce that planning is underway for the return of the Cripple Creek Ice Festival, February 18-26, 2023. New sponsors have been identified and the City of Cripple Creek has tentatively approved their sponsorship of the event, which paves the way for a larger more exciting event than ever before. The head-to-head carving challenges will also be returning to the event on Saturdays. Carvers will compete in a stadium setting for a $1,000 cash prize each weekend. Carving teams will also be doing their best to win the People’s Choice Award for an overall cash prize of $5,000.
